This was shot near the Old Carbide Mill near Meech Lake, Quebec. Taken with the 105 VR macro lens. The day was overcast and the light was flat, so I used a gelled SB-600 flash to warm up the shot and give it a little more definition.
I love this one. Great close up.

Where did the banding come from? I didn't see it when you first showed me the shot.
